Dietary Aide

Dietary Aide and support the nutritional and dietary needs of our assisted living and retirement community residents. Your role will involve assisting in food preparation, serving meals, maintaining cleanliness in the dining area, and ensuring a pleasant dining experience for our residents.

• Prepare and handle food items including washing, cutting, and portioning fruits, vegetables, meats, and poultry.
• Assist in setting up dining areas and serve meals to residents.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, dining area, and equipment according to safety and sanitation standards.
• Assist with inventory management and proper food storage practices, including rotation of stock.
• Support special event meal preparations and provide additional help as needed.
• Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure timely meal service.

Requirements

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required; on-the-job training provided.
• Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including standing for extended periods and lifting up to 30 pounds.
• Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment.
• Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Prior experience in food service or healthcare setting is an advantage but not mandatory.
