Nuclear Medicine Technologist

This is a 13-week contract position.

4 days x 10 hours, 08:15 AM - 06:45 PM on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays; 07:00 AM - 05:30 PM on Thursdays. On-call after department closes.

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs nuclear medicine procedures in compliance with hospital policies and procedures. The role requires skill in operating state-of-the-art nuclear medicine gamma cameras, probes, and computer systems.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct nuclear medicine procedures as directed.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and hospital policies.
• Manage and operate advanced imaging equipment.
• Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients.
• Maintain quality control of imaging devices and procedures.
• Participate in on-call duties post-department hours.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Bachelor's or Associate's degree preferred.
• Five years of Nuclear Medicine experience preferred.
• Pending Nuclear Medicine license with the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging is acceptable.
• Must be registered in Nuclear Medicine with either the Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board (NMTCB) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within 6 months of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the AHA within 90 days of hire.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 6 months of hire.
• Successful completion of a Basic Cardiac Monitoring class within 4 months of hire.
