Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care in a high-risk, high-volume Labor and Delivery unit serving a diverse patient population including midwifery clients, private OB patients, and community care patients
• Function as Baby Nurse during delivery, providing immediate newborn care including eye prophylaxis, Vitamin K injections, and newborn assessments
• Circulate in the operating room during cesarean sections and other surgical deliveries
• Administer and monitor high-risk medications including Heparin, Insulin, and Magnesium Sulfate
• Perform and interpret electronic fetal monitoring in accordance with AWHONN guidelines
• Float to Postpartum and Antepartum units as needed, including sister facilities supporting Mother/Baby care

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 3–5 years of Labor and Delivery experience in a high-acuity, high-paced environment; high-risk experience required
• Active and current RN licensure; compact license accepted
• Current BLS and NRP certifications required at time of submission
• Demonstrated ability to circulate in the OR
• Proficiency in newborn care including eye prophylaxis, Vitamin K (thigh) injections, and newborn assessments
• Proficiency with EPIC and electronic fetal monitoring

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 5 or more years of high-risk Labor and Delivery experience strongly preferred
• ACLS certification preferred
• AWHONN Advanced or AWHONN Intermediate certification preferred
