This senior leadership role is pivotal in overseeing the organization's financial strategy, operations, and long-term sustainability. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading all financial management aspects, including accounting, financial planning and analysis, budgeting, audit, and compliance. This role demands a hands-on and influential leader with a proven track record in multi-revenue streamed, mission-driven organizations. The Head of Finance & Accounting will also be instrumental in strengthening financial systems and infrastructure to support the organization's mission and strategic ambitions. Key responsibilities for the Head of Finance & Accounting at the company include providing strategic financial guidance, ensuring the integrity of financial data and reporting processes, and leading the financial management of grants and other revenue streams. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years' experience in financial management, extensive knowledge of nonprofit accounting, GAAP, and grant management, and a strong background in leading budgeting, financial planning, audit, and compliance functions. A Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field is required, with a preference for an advanced degree, and a CPA is mandatory. The role also involves team leadership, so experience in managing and developing finance teams is essential.
