MEDICAL TECHNICIAN

Duties
Perform a wide variety of testing in the areas of hematology, coagulation, chemistry, urinalysis, and immunoassays.
Verify correct instrument operation using established procedures and quality control checks.
Perform phlebotomy on individuals utilizing proper type of anticoagulants, amount of blood to be drawn, needle and syringe, Vacutainer, butterfly techniques, and labels, as appropriate.
Maintain quality control within the clinical laboratory.
