Registered Nurse Labor and Delivery

Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery provides specialized patient care for women during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods. The role involves coordinating clinical efforts to ensure safe and effective childbirth experiences in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor maternal and fetal health throughout labor and delivery.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and protocols.
• Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families.
• Administer medications, perform neonatal resuscitation, and manage emergency situations as needed.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate care and delegate tasks appropriately.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with clinical standards and protocols.

Qualifications:

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing with valid RN licensure in Wyoming.
• Previous hospital experience, particularly in Labor and Delivery or NICU settings.
• Hold current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications, maintaining credentials throughout employment.
• Successful completion of Electronic Fetal Monitoring courses within specified timeframes.
• Demonstrate excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and effectively within a team environment.
