Digital Marketing Specialist

The Digital Marketing Specialist works closely with the Leadership, Business Development teams, and Agency of Record to help deliver, maintain, and build the Trav’s Outfitter brand and its digital assets. This position is responsible for providing high-quality content and exceptional digital execution that directly supports brand awareness, business goals and overall growth. This position will collaborate with Trav’s leadership to deliver consistent, high-value marketing and communications, including creating compelling social media posts, collaborating with the Agency for Strategy, scheduling the marketing plans, a minimum of 6‑weeks in advance, Digital Media posting, and optimizing content for key demographics. Ultimately, it is your responsibility to collaborate with the teams to provide a high-value Trav’s Outfitter experience across all digital channels. Key Responsibilities Learning, utilizing, and executing marketing tactics with AI, while keeping the human element a priority. The key is finding efficiencies, not role replacement. Create Marketing Materials that will be used as promotional items within both store locations. Examples, but not limited to: promotional signs, flyers, postcards, ads, etc. Create and optimize technical content for SEO and lead generation for the firm’s website and professional social channels (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X, LinkedIn, etc.). Create compelling copy for newsletters and beautifully designed social media posts while upholding a clear and consistent brand voice that resonates with our team’s mission statement and customers across multiple product lines and locations. Advocate for creative digital ideas that align with business goals and are worth internal investment. This role is at the core of the marketing effort, and others will rely on your work every single day. Review all major digital deliverables (e.g., digital posts, ads, marketing collateral) to ensure quality standards and brand consistency are met. Work closely with our selected Agency, providing project status updates and identifying potential marketing opportunities, seasonal promotions, or content needs. Manage a diverse and growing roster of internal marketing tasks and deliverables for various needs or location marketing efforts. Manage professional social media accounts by implementing strategies and tactics that grow followers, engage, and help convert them into customers and active promoters of Trav’s Outfitter, both online and in-store. Have command of best practices and trends in professional social media marketing and understand how to both build and convert the firm's digital presence. Own the marketing seat at Trav’s Outfitter and collaborate with the Agency as the primary point of contact, assisting with content approvals, company and industry updates, success stories to promote, etc. Assist with event marketing by prepping the store locations, updating the website with new product details using best practices for SEO, working within the community at different events, and being the consistent voice behind social media, managing the brand reputation. Required Experience & Qualifications 1-2 years of full-time experience working in a digital marketing, communications, or agency environment. Work well in a collaborative team environment within a retail, fast‑paced, customer service‑driven organization. Have a passion for supporting retail shopping environments highly focused on customer service and great product lines. Have a natural ability to multitask a variety of different projects for multiple internal stakeholders and deadlines. Familiarity with emerging technologies, including CMS (Shopify), professional social media platforms, Canva, MailChimp, and video creation and editing. Experience with CRM systems (for lead tracking), social scheduling tools, newsletter programs, and the Google suite of tools. Ability to work with a list of SEO Keywords and write quality website content, including compelling calls‑to‑action (CTAs), headlines, and meta descriptions. Experience growing an organization’s web presence through organic SEO, content, and digital marketing. Superior organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow‑through. Outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal skills for interacting with staff and leadership. Comfortable in performance marketing, lead conversion, and online customer acquisition. Excellent problem‑solving, time management, and leadership skills.
