About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Step Down Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience required. License: Valid state license required. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required. Must-Have: Experience with patient ratio of 1:4-5. Description: Must have ICU experience. Travelers will be floated to the ICU when necessary. Floating required across step down and medical surgical units. Patient ratios during the day are 4 and night shifts are 5. Daily census is 17 with a total of 21 beds. Special procedures include post cardiac catheterization, vascular procedures, and peritoneal dialysis. Employees will work with non-titrating drips such as Amiodarone, NTG, and Cardizem. Experience with BiPAP, home ventilators, and wound care is required. Staffing supports include physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy. Expect to work some holidays and weekends in rotation with staff. Floating consistency is based on current staffing needs. Candidates should be comfortable with floating to different units. No references are required with submission, but will be needed during compliance. Modules are self-reported and should be completed prior to the start of the assignment.
