Responsibilities

What You'll Do

As a Medical Assistant, you'll play a key role in creating a smooth, safe, and caring experience for every patient. Responsibilities include:
Clinical Support & Patient Care

• Assist patients and families in preparing for examinations
• Support providers during exams and procedures
• Gather and document patient data through interviews and observations
• Enter medication, lab, and imaging orders under provider direction
• Maintain compliance with infection control and safety standards

Communication & Coordination

• Provide professional and compassionate communication to patients and family members
• Process incoming and outgoing calls using sound clinical judgment
• Act as a liaison for specialty referrals and diagnostic scheduling

Operational & Administrative Tasks

• Collaborate with administrative and operations teams
• Assist with scheduling, reception, and patient discharge when needed
• Demonstrate consistent adherence to organizational policies and standards

Qualifications

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of Medical Assistant training program OR one year of relevant MA experience (training available for motivated candidates)
• Current BLS Healthcare Provider certification
• Ability to obtain MA certification within 6 months of hire if required (CCMA, CMA, CMAC, NCMA, NRCMA/NRCAMA, or RMA accepted)

Physical & Environmental Expectations

This role involves frequent standing, walking, reaching, documentation, and lifting up to 10 lbs, with occasional heavier tasks. You will also work in close, fast-moving clinical environments requiring strong emotional resilience and flexibility.
