The LPN also ensures resident’s needs are met in accordance with professional standards of practice through physician orders, facility policies and procedures, and federal, state and local guidelines. Requirements Skills: Basic reading and writing skills, and ability to speak English in an understandable manner. Years of Experience: Gerontological nursing including dementia population preferred. Licensure: Current active LPN license in state of practice. Physical Demands Ability to stand, walk, bend, and squat for prolonged periods; Ability to push and pull objects and lift and carry up to 50 pounds, unassisted, on a frequent basis; Full use of hands, arms, and legs (for writing and medication administration); Ability to read thermometers, charts and testing equipment.
