Outpatient Clinic Registered Nurse - Nephrology
Location: New York, NY
Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule: Day shift, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM. No weekends required.
Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our outpatient nephrology clinic. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating strong communication skills and adaptability to changing situations. The nurse will be responsible for patient care activities including rooming patients, taking vital signs, and administering injections.
Responsibilities:
- Room patients and take vital signs
- Administer injections and perform simple dressing changes
- Conduct telephone triage and follow-up phone calls
- Interpret laboratory results and manage medication reconciliations
- Prepare and set up sterile procedure trays
- Perform phlebotomy as needed, along with vaccine administration
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- Minimum of 1 year of RN experience
- Current NY State RN license required
- Experience with EPIC electronic records preferred
- BLS certification required
