Job Overview

As a Manufacturing Engineering Intern in the Medical Business Unit, you will gain hands-on experience supporting manufacturing processes that produce components for medical devices. You will work alongside engineers, operations, quality, and maintenance to:


Support day-to-day manufacturing needs and help resolve production issues.


Use structured problem-solving and data analysis to identify causes and recommend practical improvements.


Contribute to tooling, fixtures, process improvement, and cross-functional projects that build manufacturing capability.


Responsibilities

Support engineers and production teams with troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and follow-up.


Collect, organize, and analyze manufacturing data to evaluate yield, process capability, cycle time, quality, and performance trends.


Assist with the design, procurement, fabrication, testing, and documentation of tooling and fixtures.


Help plan and execute engineering trials, process improvements, and updates to manufacturing instructions.


Collaborate with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, and other functions, and present internship project results at the end of the assignment.


You're the kind of person we are looking for if you:
• Have earned a high school diploma or GED.
• Are currently enrolled in a BA/BS program in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field at an accredited college or university-or have equivalent experience. Gap-year students may also be considered.
• Bring relevant coursework, a hands-on project, student organization experience, or a prior internship that demonstrates curiosity and applied problem-solving.
• Are authorized to work in the U.S.

Compensation
• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $20.91 - 45.04/HOUR (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.

Our internship program typically runs May thru August and gives students the opportunity to work on projects that contribute to the success of their team and build on their classroom experience. Throughout the 10-12-week program, interns will be provided with:

Timeline
TE Connectivity recruits on campus between September and March for New Grad (FT), Rotational, Internship and Co-op positions beginning in May. Once you have applied to a position, your resume and application will be reviewed. If you are selected to move to the next step in the application process, you will be contacted by a recruiter. Once you accept an offer, the onboarding process will begin in January for interns who have committed to offers in the fall semester and upon acceptance for interns who have committed to offers in the spring semester.
