Production Manager

About the Role

Riverdale Global is seeking an experienced, hands-on Production Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our manufacturing facility in High Point, NC.

This is a key leadership position for someone who enjoys being actively involved in manufacturing operations, developing employees, solving problems, and driving continuous improvement.

With our corporate office located in Pennsylvania, we're looking for a self-motivated leader who can independently manage daily facility operations while maintaining strong communication and collaboration with our corporate team.

The ideal candidate is someone who takes ownership, leads by example, and understands how to balance production efficiency, employee development, safety, quality, and customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities

Production & Operations

• Oversee daily manufacturing operations, production scheduling, staffing, and workflow.
\n
• Ensure production requirements and customer delivery expectations are met.
\n
• Coordinate raw materials, inventory, supplies, and equipment needs.
\n
• Monitor production performance and proactively address delays, downtime, and operational challenges.
\n
• Manage daily facility needs and make sound operational decisions independently.
\n
• Maintain regular communication with corporate leadership regarding production priorities, performance, and facility needs.

Leadership & Employee Development

\n
• Lead, coach, and develop production supervisors and employees.
\n
• Establish clear expectations and promote accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
\n
• Oversee employee scheduling, attendance, performance, and training.
\n
• Support recruiting, onboarding, and employee development.
\n
• Maintain a positive, safe, and productive work environment.
\n

Operational Performance & Continuous Improvement

\n
• Monitor and improve key performance indicators, including productivity, labor efficiency, manufacturing cost, downtime, and quality.
\n
• Identify opportunities to improve workflow, reduce waste, and increase operational efficiency.
\n
• Lead problem-solving efforts and implement corrective actions.
\n
• Support improvements to production processes, equipment utilization, and facility organization.
\n

Safety & Quality

\n
• Promote and maintain a strong safety culture.
\n
• Ensure compliance with company policies, operating procedures, and quality standards.
\n
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe manufacturing environment.
\n
• Address quality concerns and support corrective action and continuous improvement initiatives.
\n
• Coordinate equipment maintenance and facility requirements.
\n

Qualifications

\n
• 5+ years of manufacturing experience, including supervisory or management responsibilities.
\n
• Demonstrated experience leading production teams and managing daily manufacturing operations.
\n
• Strong understanding of production planning, inventory management, labor efficiency, and operational performance.
\n
• Ability to work independently, make decisions, and manage multiple priorities.
\n
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
\n
• Experience with manufacturing KPIs and continuous improvement initiatives.
\n
• Proficiency with computer systems, spreadsheets, and production management tools.
\n
• Experience in plastics manufacturing, compounding, mixing, or related manufacturing environments preferred.
