Quality Analyst – Quality Specialist
Location: Fenton, MI
Pay: Up to $34.50/hour
Job Type: Contract-to-Hire
Schedule: Full-Time

Kelly Services is seeking a Quality Analyst – Manufacturing to support a highly technical automotive manufacturing operation in Fenton, MI. This is a great opportunity for a quality-focused professional who enjoys problem-solving, data analysis, root cause investigation, and continuous improvement.

The position supports machining, automated assembly, final assembly, and testing operations while working closely with Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, and other cross-functional teams.

What You'll Do

• Support quality processes and requirements within a manufacturing environment
• Investigate quality issues, customer complaints, warranty claims, scrap, and rework
• Analyze quality data to identify trends, recurring issues, and opportunities for improvement
• Perform root cause analysis and support corrective and preventive actions
• Use quality and problem-solving tools such as 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, and Six Sigma
• Maintain quality procedures, documentation, risk analysis, and lessons learned
• Review customer warranty claims and provide feedback to internal teams
• Support audits, product reviews, and quality improvement initiatives
• Work with Manufacturing, Engineering, Suppliers, and other departments to resolve quality issues
• Support engineering changes and ensure quality requirements are met
• Participate in cross-functional projects and continuous improvement activities
• Apply Lean Manufacturing and quality problem-solving techniques
• Assist with other Quality Department activities as needed

What We're Looking For

• 2–4 years of manufacturing experience; quality experience preferred
• Automotive manufacturing experience is a plus
• Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to investigate problems and identify root causes
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
• Minitab experience preferred
• Experience with 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, Six Sigma, or similar quality methodologies preferred
• Knowledge of IATF 16949 or automotive quality standards is a plus
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
