Senior Manager, Data Management, Office of Safety Operations - Hybrid, Chicago

Senior Manager leads data management operations for AbbVie's Office of Safety Operations, overseeing regulatory reporting, product surveillance, and data governance. The role involves building stakeholder partnerships, optimizing processes, managing vendors, and driving strategic initiatives to ensure high-quality safety data solutions.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strategic partnerships with business, technology, and functional stakeholders to align priorities and deliver trusted data solutions
- Drive prioritization and execution of data operations activities, balancing business needs, regulatory requirements, and capacity
- Standardize and optimize reports and operational processes by promoting scalable solutions and reducing custom work
- Oversee vendor-supported data operations, monitoring performance, quality, compliance, and service delivery
- Develop data management strategy, establish priorities and performance measures, and lead continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in statistics, computer science, data science, healthcare, or related technology field
- Minimum 3 years of computer software experience in database reporting
- Minimum 2 years of project management experience
- Minimum 2 years of pharmaceutical industry experience
- Advanced SQL expertise with ability to design, develop, and critique queries
- Understanding of database architecture concepts and data retrieval methods
- Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and lead cross-functional initiatives
