Senior Tax Manager

We're partnering with a growing public accounting firm seeking a Tax Manager to support a diverse client base and lead complex tax engagements. This is an opportunity to take ownership of client relationships, contribute to firm growth, and mentor junior staff in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review federal and state tax returns
• Conduct tax research and support tax planning initiatives
• Manage client audits, notices, and tax authority inquiries
• Review staff work and provide technical guidance
• Oversee multiple client engagements and filing deadlines

Qualifications

Required

• CPA license or actively pursuing CPA
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 10+ years of public accounting or tax accounting experience
• Federal and California tax expertise
• Experience preparing and reviewing complex tax returns
• Multi-state taxation experience
• Proficiency with tax preparation software and Microsoft Excel

Nice to Have

• Tax planning and projection experience
• Experience with individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts
• Audit support experience

Compensation

• $145,000 to $180,000 DoE
