Aircraft Assembly Mechanic

Job Location: Wichita, KS, 67210 Duration: 6+ Months W2 (Contract) With possible extension based on your performance Pay Rate: $42.00/Hourly on W2

Assemble, install, seal, rig, inspect, and complete precision and structural/system components per drawings, specifications, and procedures.

Obtain required information from prints, charts, sketches, work instructions, and electronic/verbal sources.

Use shop mathematics and precision measuring/test instruments to complete assignments and functional testing.

Utilize tooling to assemble components into sub-assemblies or end items.

Verify work meets instructions and engineering specifications; identify discrepancies.

Ensure equipment and tool certifications are up to date per procedures.

Perform routine minor machine maintenance (filters, bulbs, lubrication, coolant levels, etc.).

Move products within manufacturing areas using assigned equipment and complete required transactions.

Perform work within assigned schedules.

Support continuous production flow by training and assisting employees.

Assist in training assembly personnel in assembly, installation, and inspection techniques.

Cross-train in inspection and achieve SIA qualification.

Setup and operate conventional and/or CNC fastening equipment (less than 3-axis movement).

Perform specialized tasks such as structures assembly, sealing, and sub-assembly.

Apply specialty skills including doors installation, fuel cell sealing, precision bench assembly, and pressure/vacuum testing. Experience required: 510 years (Mid-Level).

Role: Solid Repair Mechanics.

Work involves frequent bending and working in confined spaces on aircraft.
