Area Sales Manager – Manhattan North Axogen invites an experienced medical sales professional to lead the sales of nerve repair products in the Manhattan North territory, working from a home office while traveling extensively to meet customers. Job Summary As Area Sales Manager, you will design and execute strategic plans to achieve or exceed sales targets, manage territory efficiently, build relationships with key decision makers, deliver product presentations, train medical staff, and ensure compliance with all company and regulatory standards. Responsibilities Develop, implement, and deliver on plans to surpass sales objectives. Maintain accurate territory and account records and manage time for maximum coverage. Identify and pursue growth opportunities within current and new accounts and counter competitors. Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Deliver compelling sales/product presentations, handle objections, and secure customer commitments. Respond promptly to customer requests, resolve complaints, and provide continuous education. Maintain a professional image and high standard of personal presentation. Pursue continual product and sales skill development through training programs. Adhere to all company policies, regulatory guidelines, and safety standards. Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field. Minimum 5 years of medical sales experience, preferably in Operating Room or orthopedic devices. Experience selling directly to surgeons in an OR setting preferred. Must reside within the Manhattan North territory. Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Benefits & Compensation Target base salary plus commission (un-capped) with an anticipated total of ~$200,000 or more. Equity participation as part of the compensation package.
