Job Description Job Description We are seeking qualified candidates for a Saw Operator!
Someone who is used to working with machines (& operated a saw or various saws preferably for metal work), can read a tape measure, and has experience operating a forklift
Responsibilities include:
Cutting a variety of materials into specified shapes using a band saw.
Reading job orders for specifications, such as material, type and size of stock, and dimensions to be cut.
Obtaining and transferring stock to the machine, manually or with a hoist.
Installing saw blade and setting blade tension cutting speed for the specified operation.
Operating and maintaining the band saw through routine preventative maintenance.
Ensuring that the saw delivers accurate cuts by following the work order or blueprints laid out on the stock.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in machinery or other related fields
Familiarity machine tools and equipment
Strong analytical and mathematical skills
Strong attention to detail
