Registered Nurse (RN) - Long Term Care / Rehabilitation

Schedule: Days (7a-7p)

The RN partners with residents and other care providers to create a safe and comfortable therapeutic environment by providing direct and indirect care. The role involves working within specialized units that serve individuals with Alzheimer's/dementia, as well as those needing short-term rehabilitation after surgery or other illnesses.

Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality nursing care to residents on specialized units.
• Utilize both verbal and non-verbal communication techniques to address the needs of residents with Alzheimer's/dementia.
• Deliver skilled nursing and rehabilitation services, including IV therapy and wound care.
• Work collaboratively within a team of care providers to ensure comprehensive resident management.
• Monitor and assess resident health status, implementing necessary interventions as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Associates Degree in Nursing
• Valid State of Maine or compact RN license
• 1-3 years of previous RN experience in long-term care or rehabilitation settings
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
• Strong teamwork and communication skills; flexibility to float to other units as needed
