Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift (6:00 PM – 6:30 AM) | 36 Hours per Week | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive head-to-toe assessments and reassessments on pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients per policy
• Maintain accurate and thorough nursing documentation including patient histories, conditions, treatments, responses, and assessment of changes
• Monitor hemodynamic status of patients and correctly interpret results
• Prepare, administer, monitor, and discontinue IV fluids; maintain current knowledge of medications and correct administration based on patient age and clinical condition
• Demonstrate the ability to handle emergency situations in a prompt, precise, and professional manner
• Maintain all competencies, licensure, certifications, and education requirements as outlined by regulatory agencies including TJC and CMS

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• At least one year of Registered Nurse experience within the last 24 months and acute critical care experience within the last 12 months; or EMT/ED Tech with a minimum of 2 years of experience in good standing
• Current Registered Nurse license in the State of California
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to meet physical demands including frequent bending, standing, walking, and occasional lifting/transferring of patients; must demonstrate a pull/lift of 50 pounds from the floor

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Emergency Room and/or ICU experience preferred, as some floating between units may be required
• MICN certification (desired to be completed within one year of placement)
• NRP, TNCC, and CEN certifications encouraged and recommended
