Patient Care Technician, Cardiac Ambulatory
Position: Patient Care Technician, Cardiac Ambulatory
Location: Glenbrook Hospital
Full Time/Part Time: Full Time
Hours: 40 hours, 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts - 10 am - 8:30 pm
What you will do:
Provide basic patient care including bathing, grooming, feeding, toileting, and positioning under the direction of an RN/LPN
Perform purposeful hourly rounding and respond to patient call lights and requests
Assist with safe patient handling including ambulation, transfers, and repositioning using proper equipment
Obtain and document vital signs, weights, intake/output, and other patient care activities per protocol
Support admissions, discharges, and patient transports while ensuring patient safety and comfort
What you will need:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; CNA training or completion of a nursing clinical rotation preferred
Certification: BLS for Healthcare Provider (AHA) required within 90 days of hire
Experience: No prior experience required
Unique or Preferred Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, ability to prioritize tasks, teamwork, and commitment to patient-centered care
