Electro-Mechanical Technician - B/D Shift

Becton Dickinson seeks an Electro-Mechanical Technician for the B/D shift (6PM-6AM) to perform maintenance and repair of electronic and mechanical equipment at their Columbus, West facility. The role involves troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and supporting continuous improvement within medical device manufacturing operations under cGMP compliance.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electronic and mechanical equipment using hand tools and test equipment
• Perform preventative maintenance on industrial controls, computers, servo-mechanisms, and related systems
• Test electronic circuits using oscilloscopes, signal generators, amp meters, and voltmeters to identify defects
• Install, modify, and maintain control panel wiring and PLC ladder logic programs in coordination with controls group
• Support engineering projects including equipment procurement, installation, and installation qualification protocols

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Associate degree in technical field or two years technical experience
• Proficient understanding of hydraulic, electric, mechanical, and pneumatic systems
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics
• Proficient record-keeping and documentation skills
• Basic computer skills (SAP, Excel, Word preferred)
• Fluent in English (reading, writing, and speaking)
