When you join our team, you will be enrolled in our training program designed to build the skills and confidence needed to meet your job requirements and build your career with us.As an ***Instructional Aide***, you will:* Meet with classroom teacher and/or immediate supervisor to discuss daily activities, academics, behaviors, social and/or medical concerns related to the students.* Complete and submit paperwork, lesson plans, instructional data, and behavior data in a timely fashion as scheduled per students assigned.* Use Agency-approved treatment techniques in supervising and educating students.* Demonstrate familiarity with behavior management and behavior education techniques used at GLS.* Act as a role model and set an appropriate example for students, staff, and the community.* Demonstrate familiarity with curriculum by using resources to implement students’ program under the direction and training of the classroom teacher and the Education/Learning Coordinator.* Engage students in active learning.* Provide constructive criticism and feedback for staff working within the classroom setting and ensures that Education Department policies are withheld.### Qualifications:* Must be at least 21 years old* High School Diploma or equivalent R**equired;** Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred* At least one year of experience working with special needs students preferred* Is eligible for Instructional Aide license through the State of Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction* A demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment and effectively solve problems* Ability to remain calm under pressure while maintaining self-composure and self-control* Effective working alone and as a member of a team**Schedule & Benefit Information****Hours:** 7:30am-3:30pm, Monday- Friday during the Regular School year- Summer School hours: 7:30am- 1:30pm, Monday- Thursday (30 days)* All full-time employees of Genesee Lake School are eligible for a comprehensive benefits package including: + Health + Dental + Vision + Medical FSA + Dependent Care FSA + 401(k) + Education Assistance + Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) + Employee Assistance Program (EAP) + Employee Discount Program + Generous Paid Time Off (PTO) + Holiday Pay + Company Paid Short-Term & Long-Term Disability + Company Paid Life and AD&D + Voluntary Life Insurance + Pet Insurance + Emergency Travel Assistance + Guardian Angels Program (GAP) + Student Loan Paydown Assistance + Free meals & coffee**Additional Information**MyPath and its Operating Companies provide specialized services and dignified care for children, adolescents and adults with special needs.
