Registered Nurse - ICU

Critical Care Nurse

Provide specialized critical care nursing in a high-acuity ICU setting, including Neuro and Surgical ICU environments. Deliver comprehensive patient management and assist with complex bedside procedures to ensure optimal recovery outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor critically ill patients, including those on ventilators and vasoactive medications.
• Assist with bedside procedures such as intubation, extubation, central line placement, arterial line insertion, chest tube insertion, thoracentesis, TEEs, and cardioversions.
• Manage patients undergoing neuro, cardiac, and surgical procedures, including stroke interventions, craniectomies, and spinal surgeries.
• Interpret invasive hemodynamic data, including CO, CI, SVV, CVP, and SvO2 values.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and modify care plans for complex cases involving sepsis, GI bleed, COPD, CHF, DKA, and assistive device management such as IABP, Impella, and CRRT.
• Float and work alternate weekends and holidays, adhering to hospital policies and patient census fluctuations.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license and current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Experience with EPIC electronic health record system.
• Demonstrated proficiency in bedside procedures including intubation, central line, arterial line, and chest tube placements.
• Proven ability to manage ventilated patients and those on vasoactive and assist devices.
• Experience in neuro, cardiac, or surgical ICU preferred, including management of stroke, craniectomy, and interventional radiology procedures.
• Strong understanding of invasive hemodynamics and critical care protocols.
