Locums - Evansville, Indiana - CRNA Job
Clinical Role

• Seeking a board certified CRNA
• Need locums to start in July - ongoing
• Client prefers providers willing to work a mix of 8s, 10s, and occasional 12 hour shifts
• Need 1-2 locums able to offer full-time Monday-Friday coverage
• Preference is for providers to work 3+ days a week
• Strong preference for providers willing to consistently cover Mondays and Fridays
• Open to providers already licensed in Indiana or willing to obtain Indiana licensure
• Quick licensure available
• Long-term assignments preferred - minimum 6 month commitment
• Providers must give at least 30 days notice for assignment end dates or schedule changes
• Coverage needed at three facilities in the Evansville area (two hospitals and one GI center)
• Shift Options:
  • 7a-3p
  • 7a-5p
  • 7a-7p (occasional)
• Mostly 8 and 10 hour shifts available
• No OB or Open Heart cases
• Cases include:
  • GI
  • Orthopedics
  • Neuro
  • General Surgery
  • Trauma
  • Urology
  • Respiratory
  • CT
  • EP
  • Cardioversions
• CRNAs are generally assigned to one location/column daily
• Rarely required to travel between campuses unless urgent need arises
• Supervisory care model:
  • One anesthesiologist supervising up to five CRNAs
• 8 hour shifts primarily GI coverage
• 12 hour shifts primarily OR coverage
• MD-only for structural heart cases
• CRNAs supported in regional and general anesthesia by supervising anesthesiologists
• Low pediatric volume; only healthy pediatric patients required
• Medication Management: Omnicell and Pyxis
• Support staff includes OR nurses, OR techs, and patient care techs
• Credentialing timeframe: approximately 6-8 weeks
• Presentation timeline: approximately 2 weeks
• Required case logs:
  • Minimum 250 patients in the last 12 months
  • Minimum 425 anesthesia practice hours in the last 12 months
• Licensure:
  • Compact/multistate RN license accepted or Indiana RN license required
  • Cannot accept temporary licenses
• Will consider providers with minimum availability of two weeks per month
• Required Certifications:
  • ACLS
  • BLS
