Shift Manager – Responsibilities As part of the Subway Team, the Shift Manager focuses on the following core responsibilities: Providing an excellent guest experience. Ensuring that great food is prepared & served. Keeping the restaurant functional, clean and beautiful. Controlling inventory. Scheduling and supervising staff. Being a team player. In addition to typical Sandwich Artist duties, key day‑to‑day tasks include: Training Sandwich Artists on new responsibilities. Scheduling and supervising staff. Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a restaurant environment. Essential Functions Strong communication and organizational skills. Physical Requirements Ability to work in any area of the restaurant and operate a computerized Point‑of‑Sale system. Position requires bending, standing and walking entire workday; ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally. Training on roles and responsibilities will be provided.
