Engineering Project Manager

Position SummaryThis person will support delivery of a manufacturing-line setup program. This role is focused on engineering execution, project coordination, and work-stream delivery rather than overall program leadership. The engineer will work across multiple manufacturing line implementation activities, supporting engineering, facilities, procurement, installation, validation, testing, documentation, and project controls to ensure successful deployment of six production lines.The role will partner closely with the Senior PM, engineering teams, facilities, quality, procurement, and operations stakeholders to drive execution against schedule, budget, and technical requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesEngineering Project DeliverySupport execution of manufacturing-line setup activities across six production lines.Coordinate engineering deliverables to ensure alignment with project milestones and installation schedules.Track technical risks, issues, dependencies, and mitigation plans.Support work-stream planning, status reporting, and execution management.Facilities & Utilities ReadinessCoordinate facilities and utility requirements needed to support line installation and startup.Work with facilities, construction, and engineering stakeholders to ensure site readiness.Track infrastructure dependencies impacting installation and commissioning schedules.Procurement & Vendor CoordinationSupport procurement activities and equipment delivery coordination.Track long-lead items and supplier commitments.Partner with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve delivery and technical issues.Installation, Validation & CommissioningSupport manufacturing equipment installation activities.Coordinate validation, commissioning, and qualification schedules.Ensure required testing protocols and validation documentation are completed.Support vibration testing and equipment performance verification activities.Cost & Schedule ControlsMonitor project costs, budgets, and spending against approved plans.Support schedule development and milestone tracking.Escalate risks impacting scope, cost, quality, or schedule performance.Documentation & ComplianceMaintain project documentation, engineering records, and status reports.Ensure documentation packages are completed to support installation and validation activities.Partner with quality and compliance teams to meet required standards and approvals.Required ExperienceTechnical ExperienceExperience supporting manufacturing, industrial, life sciences, automotive, aerospace, or similar engineering projects.Experience with equipment installation, commissioning, validation, or facility startup activities.Understanding of engineering project lifecycle management.Familiarity with project schedules, cost controls, and project reporting.Functional ExpertiseManufacturing line implementation.Facilities and utilities coordination.Equipment procurement and vendor management.Installation and commissioning support.Validation and testing activities.Technical documentation management.Project Delivery SkillsStrong cross-functional coordination skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Experience identifying and resolving project risks and issues.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Preferred QualificationsExperience supporting greenfield or brownfield manufacturing expansions.Experience working with quality and validation organizations.Previous involvement in large-scale capital projects.Experience working within regulated manufacturing environments.Familiarity with project controls, budgeting, and reporting tools.Experience supporting multiple concurrent work streams.EOE Statement: Specialist Staffing Group is an equal opportunity employer.
