This role is essential to creating a safe, structured, and supportive learning space where students can grow academically and emotionally.You'll work closely with teachers, student support staff, and administrators to meet students where they are-offering encouragement, guidance, and stability throughout the school day.What You'll DoSupport K–12 students with academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs.Assist students with study skills, organization, and classroom routines.Help de-escalate emotional situations and reinforce appropriate social skills.Provide accommodations and instructional modifications as directed by teachers.Assist teachers with daily classroom responsibilities and student supervision.Maintain accurate documentation related to student progress and support needs.Model positive behavior, calm responses, and trauma-informed practices.Collaborate as part of a team-based, student-centered environment.What We're Looking ForA patient, flexible, and compassionate approach to working with students.Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.Ability to remain calm, supportive, and consistent during challenging moments.Willingness to learn and implement trauma-informed and restorative practices.A team player who believes in student growth, dignity, and potential.QualificationsRequired: High School Diploma or GEDPreferred: Paraeducator Certification and/or Substitute AuthorizationOr willingness to obtain certificationWhy THRIVE?A supportive team culture where staff lift each other up.Small class sizes (max 10 students) with dedicated para support.Meaningful impact-help students build the skills they need for life.Ongoing professional growth in trauma-informed, therapeutic practices.A workplace that values relationships, empathy, and resilience as much as academics.At THRIVE Academy, your work matters every single day.
