QA/QC Engineer

Role: QA/QC EngineerLocation: Brooklyn Park, MN (Onsite)Salary: $95,000–$105,000Travel: 10–49% (including supplier visits ~20–25%)Work Type: Full-time, OnsiteBenefits: Health insurance, paid time off, holidays, and standard company benefitsPosition OverviewThis QA/QC Engineer role supports fabrication-shop quality for microelectronics capital projects. You’ll own day-to-day inspection and documentation control, helping ensure products are built right the first time—minimizing rework, delays, and quality escapes. You’ll partner closely with project teams, suppliers, and contractors to keep builds aligned with code, specs, and customer expectations.Key ResponsibilitiesExecute daily quality control activities for microelectronics-related fabrication buildsSupport creation and rollout of QC plans, processes, and procedures for engineers, subcontractors, and shop teamsHelp develop inspection and test plans that align with project quality requirementsMonitor and control inspections/tests throughout the build cycle; manage inspection schedulingIssue and track Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) in a timely mannerDrive corrective and preventive actions to closureReview build documentation for accuracy and completeness before fabrication beginsVerify final products meet client and project requirementsCollaborate proactively with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and contractorsTravel to suppliers for QC inspections as neededQualifications3+ years of QC experience with welding and steel products (oil & gas, aerospace, water-treatment equipment, or similar)Experience supporting high-purity products for semiconductor or microelectronics environmentsStrong working knowledge of applicable codes/standards (ASME—B31.1 & B31.3 required, AWS D1.1, ASTM)Ability to interpret drawings, dimensions, and tolerancesAbility to review welding documentation (WPS, PQR, WQTR)Comfortable using common inspection tools and measuring equipmentStrong documentation habits with accurate, timely reportingProficiency with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and PDF tools (Adobe Acrobat)Familiarity with ISO 9001 is a plusPreferred QualificationsBluebeam experienceSix Sigma Green BeltCertified Welding Inspector (CWI)
