Warehouse Support Team Member


Schedule:
Team members should be available for variable weekday shifts, including daytime and early evening hours. Friday availability may be adjusted based on production needs.


The Role:
As a Warehouse Associate, you will contribute to CAVA's success, receiving and off-loading truckloads of incoming raw materials and finished goods; maintaining an organized warehouse; picking, packing and shipping sales and transfer orders.


What You will Do:

• Receive incoming deliveries and properly warehouse raw materials and finished goods.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of docks, dry warehouse and cold storage rooms.
• Safely operate material handling equipment, including forklifts, reach trucks and pallet jacks, maintaining required safety training and certifications.
• Conduct minor preventative maintenance activities on dock and material handling equipment.
• Using generated work orders, select raw materials from warehouse locations and deliver to processing floor. Properly scan barcodes and maintain documentation as required.
• Pick, pack and palletize outgoing orders and load outbound trucks, ensuring proper documentation
• Abide by policies and procedures that support the service mindset
• Manage timeline expectations within and across teams, deliver on our responsibilities accordingly
• Earn the trust of Team Members and Managers by consistently embracing CAVA's values
• Show discipline in bringing consistent performance, communication, and attitude to the job every day
• Actively contribute to your department in order to complete tasks and meet company goals
• Recognize the emotional stake each Team Member has in personal and organizational success of this business

The Qualifications:

• 2+ years experience working in a warehouse environment
• 2+ years experience operating material handling equipment, including forklifts
• Food manufacturing/warehousing experience preferred.
• Ability to converse with team members in both English and Spanish preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Physical dexterity, ability to lift, up to 60 lbs. and push/pull pump jacks with up to 2,500 lbs. Weight on.
• The ability to work in varied environmental conditions (dry, cold)
• The ability to stand and work on feet for 8 to 10 hours a day
• Must be able to identify, assess and observe detail
• Ability to communicate with others and exchange information accurately and effectively.
• Ability to squat, kneel, bend and twist
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner

Allergens: We prepare products with milk and sesame containing ingredients. Team members must be able to work with these ingredients.
