Bonus points for any M&A and/or Transaction Advisory work.

While the title is Director of Finance, the scope is flexible for high-caliber candidates coming in at the Manager/Sr. Manager level, with compensation aligned to experience. We are looking for the best fit, whether you are 4 years or 40+ years into your career — Job Title and Wage are BOE, though we prefer a DIRECTOR LEVEL.

Strategic Finance | High-Growth Platform | CFO Right Hand
This is not a traditional Finance role.
This is a high-impact, high-visibility opportunity to step directly into the inner circle of executive decision-making, partnering one-on-one with a CFO to help scale a growing, operationally complex business.
You’ll serve as the CFO\'s right hand, owning the financial narrative of the company while helping drive key decisions around growth, capital allocation, and potential M&A activity. This role is built for someone who wants to move beyond reporting and actively shape strategy.

What You’ll Own
Strategic Finance Leadership
- Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning, including full 3-statement modeling
- Translate financial data into clear, actionable insights for executive leadership
- Identify key drivers of growth, margin expansion, and risk
Executive Partnership
- Act as a thought partner to the CFO on financial strategy and business performance
- Support capital allocation decisions, investment analysis, and ROI evaluation
- Provide forward-looking insights to guide leadership decisions
Operational & Analytical Impact
- Oversee monthly reporting, variance analysis, and performance tracking
- Build and refine cash flow forecasting in collaboration with operational teams
- Analyze and optimize cost structures and indirect rate models
Growth & M&A Exposure
- Develop financial models to evaluate acquisitions and strategic investments
- Support diligence, valuation, and integration planning as needed
Process & Infrastructure Build-Out
- Drive improvements across financial systems, reporting, and analytics capabilities
- Enhance the scalability, accuracy, and efficiency of finance processes
- Partner cross-functionally with accounting, operations, and program teams
What You Bring
Core Experience
- DEAL BREAKER: Manufacturing experience is required
- 3+ years in FP&A, Transaction Advisory, or related finance roles
- Background from Big 4/top-tier CPA firms is a plus, BUT NOT A DEAL BREAKER
- Experience in or exposure to M&A/deal environments is a plus, BUT NOT A DEAL BREAKER
Technical & Analytical Strength
- Advanced 3-statement financial modeling (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Experience building models for forecasting, valuation, and scenario analysis
Leadership & Mindset
- Operates with a builder mentality—improving, refining, and scaling processes
- Strong communicator who can influence across all levels of the organization
- Naturally curious, proactive, and driven by impact and outcomes

Additional Qualifications
- CPA and/or MBA is a plus, BUT NOT A DEAL BREAKER
- Experience with ERP and advanced Excel modeling (IFS or similar systems a plus)
- Government contracting exposure is helpful but not required
