As a Security Officer Access Control in Carlsbad, NM , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and help to support access control procedures for employees, visitors, and/or vendors. This role combines visible presence, routine patrols, and strong communication to help promote a secure environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or authorization, maintain visitor and vehicle access records, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency services when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, perimeter, and designated access points, noting unusual conditions and reporting security-related concerns.
• Support screening and inspection processes for people, packages, and/or vehicles in accordance with site requirements, and document daily activities, incidents, and observations in required reports.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
