SCADA Engineer (Senior)

Senior SCADA (OT) Engineer Location: Houston, TX Overview A leading energy infrastructure platform is seeking a Senior OT Engineer to support and enhance operational technology systems across a large-scale asset network. This role will play a key part in modernizing OT environments, improving system reliability, and driving integration between field operations and enterprise systems. This is a highly visible, hands‑on engineering role working across SCADA, automation, and control systems in a mission‑critical environment. Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and maintain operational technology (OT) systems, including SCADA, PLC/PACS, and process control systems Monitor system performance and identify opportunities to improve reliability, efficiency, and scalability Evaluate and implement new technologies, processes, and equipment Configure and support Ignition SCADA systems, including mapping OT protocols Develop and maintain database systems and SQL scripts Utilize Python and Java (within Ignition platform) for system development and automation Identify operational constraints and implement solutions to improve performance Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and IT teams to ensure seamless system integration Support and execute OT-related projects across the organization Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety requirements, and regulatory guidelines Make sound engineering decisions in time‑sensitive, operational environments Qualifications – Required Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Computer, Industrial, or related) or equivalent experience 6+ years of experience working with OT systems in industrial or energy environments Hands‑on experience with Ignition SCADA and automation systems Strong understanding of OT protocols and system integration Experience with SQL and database management Proficiency in Python and/or Java (within SCADA/OT environments preferred) Qualifications – Preferred Ignition Core Certification (GOLD certification is a strong plus) Why Consider This Opportunity Work on mission‑critical infrastructure with high visibility and impact Opportunity to help modernize and scale OT systems across a growing platform Strong compensation with bonus and long‑term incentive participation Collaborative environment with exposure to both field operations and strategic initiatives #J-18808-Ljbffr Bradsby Group
