Snapshot / Role Overview
We're seeking a Sheet Metal Apprentice in Salt Lake City, UT to assist with the installation and fabrication of commercial HVAC ductwork systems.
- Support field crews to ensure projects stay on schedule
- Learn technical skills to become a future journeyman lead
- Maintain a safe and organized job site for the entire team
- Ensure high quality ductwork installation for energy-efficient buildings Responsibilities
- Assist journeymen with the installation of sheet metal ductwork and fittings
- Load and unload fabricated materials and equipment at job sites
- Organize tools and materials to maintain an efficient work area
- Follow all safety protocols and wear proper protective equipment
- Learn to read and interpret basic mechanical drawings and blueprints
- Measure and cut materials precisely under the direction of a foreman
- Support the fabrication shop with basic assembly tasks as needed
- Participate in required on-the-job training and apprenticeship coursework Compensation and Logistics
