Our organization is actively looking for a full-time, board-certified stroke neurologist to take on the role of Director of Stroke and Vascular Neurology in Oceanside, NY.

The ideal candidate will possess outstanding clinical abilities, with a focus on both outpatient and inpatient stroke management. A proven history in clinical and/or translational research, along with strong leadership qualities, is essential. The chosen individual will be expected to balance their time equally between clinical responsibilities and leading the Division.

The Neurology Division currently consists of eight faculty neurologists dedicated to achieving the hospital's Joint Commission gold seal for disease-specific care in primary stroke, as well as maintaining AHA Gold Plus Stroke Center status and offering partial thrombectomy capabilities. This is within a highly active neurosurgical environment, supported by advanced neurological imaging and an epilepsy platform, all within a comprehensive tertiary care facility. We are in the process of establishing a fully equipped thrombectomy-capable Stroke Center and expanding our Neurology Service, and we seek to recruit additional full-time faculty to enhance our Division's offerings.

Qualifications

• Medical Degree from an accredited institution
• Valid New York Medical License
• Completion of an accredited ACGME Neurology Residency Program
• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Neurology
• Both experienced neurologists and recent graduates are encouraged to apply
• Additional fellowship training in Vascular Neurology, EEG, or related fields is advantageous but not mandatory

• Strong communication skills, excellent bedside manner, and organizational abilities

The compensation for this position ranges from $345,000 to $345,000 (excluding bonuses, incentive compensation, or benefits).

Actual salaries may vary based on several factors, including experience, specialties, historical productivity, collections, and community needs.
