Production Planner

Reporting directly to the Manufacturing Services Manager, the production planner schedules manufacturing equipment and raw materials to efficiently meet customer demand, aiming to minimize downtime, optimize equipment utilization, and ensure on‑time delivery. Responsibilities Review open sales orders and use the ERP system to generate manufacturing orders. Schedule production jobs to meet customer requirements while minimizing changeovers, downtime, and inventory. Participate or lead daily production schedule meetings to understand plant performance and respond to inquiries from the production team. Analyze and manage the overall plant supply chain, developing strategies to achieve goals. Collaborate with production, shipping, and other staff to keep raw material and finished goods inventory to a minimum. Work with plant leadership and customers to address quality and service issues, implementing required counter‑measures. Review the accuracy of manufacturing orders per instruction and generate reports on production status and schedule deviations. Maintain data integrity of all planning information in the ERP system and participate in initiatives to improve scheduling and planning processes. Serve as subject‑matter expert and key contributor to ERP implementation, providing support to Manufacturing and other functions on ERP‑related activities. Maintain strict controls for accounting and financial excellence and support month‑end close and internal/external audit efforts. Perform weekly audits as scheduled and perform additional duties as required. Work as a critical member of the SPS/(TPM) Supply Chain Pillar, actively seeking to lean out all processes. Qualifications 4‑year degree preferred; 5+ years of experience can substitute for degree. ERP experience preferred; previous experience in manufacturing is extremely helpful. Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Excel. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Reliable, with strong initiative, commitment, and a positive attitude.
