This role executes preventive maintenance, responds to service requests, and supports larger technical initiatives under the guidance of management.WHAT WE OFFERPay rate: $29.00 per hourMedical, dental, vision insurance401(k) with company matchingExclusive worldwide Marriott employee travel discount program... and moreDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESPerform comprehensive preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure optimal room condition and guest comfortAddress HVAC performance, plumbing fixtures, electrical components, and finishes with minimal guest disruptionIdentify emerging issues and recommend proactive repairs to prevent guest dissatisfactionMaintain lighting, climate control, and aesthetic standards in lobbies, meeting spaces, dining outlets, and recreational areasSupport event setups and breakdowns by ensuring reliable power, climate, and equipment functionalityConduct routine inspections to identify safety or appearance deficienciesMaintain mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems supporting hotel operationsAssist with kitchen, laundry, and support equipment maintenanceParticipate in life-safety system testing and documentationCoordinate with vendors for specialized repairs as directedExecute PM schedules and close work orders accuratelyParticipate in emergency response and on-call rotationsAdhere to hotel standards, safety protocols, and sustainability practicesPerform other duties as assigned by ManagementQUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTSEducation & ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade school coursework preferred3-6 years of experience in hotel engineering, facilities maintenance, or a related technical fieldExperience in a full-service hotel or similar commercial environment preferredDemonstrated ability to perform preventive maintenance and independent repairs across multiple tradesRequired Skills/AbilitiesSolid working knowledge of: HVAC systems and controls; Electrical systems, lighting, and outlets; Plumbing fixtures and piping; Basic life-safety systemsAbility to troubleshoot and resolve moderately complex maintenance issues independentlyStrong time-management and prioritization skillsCustomer-service orientation when interacting with guests and hotel colleaguesAbility to follow safety protocols, brand standards, and departmental proceduresProficient in work order management systems and basic computer useAbility to communicate clearly with supervisors, vendors, and team membersScheduleWork schedules are based on the operational needs of the business. Availability to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays is required for this position.Physical, Mental and Environmental & Technical DemandsFast-paced environment, multiple tasks to be handled under time constraint. Must be able to bend, crouch, kneel, and twist in the work area. The role involves frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, lifting, pushing, and pulling objects weighing up to 250lbs. often for extended periods. Must be able to maneuver around property. Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time. Must be able to operate a computer, telephone, and copier.
