Manager, Performance Engineering & Outcomes

Manager, Performance Engineering & Outcomes Contract Type: Permanent. Location: Middle East (Oman, Pakistan, Iraq) The Performance Engineering and Outcomes Manager – Middle East will be responsible for overseeing and leading the Performance Engineering team to achieve business objectives, drive performance, and maintain high levels of employee satisfaction. This role requires excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills along with a deep understanding of H&P’s FlexApps, drilling operations, and rig equipment. Primary Responsibilities Set clear performance expectations, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance evaluations. Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes teamwork and collaboration. Promote personal development of team members by identifying growth opportunities. Develop and implement strategies to achieve departmental and company goals. Monitor team performance, identify areas for improvement, and take corrective actions as necessary. Ensure team members have the resources and training needed to excel in their roles. Plan, execute, and oversee projects from inception to completion. Allocate resources efficiently and manage timelines. Identify and address risks and issues to ensure successful outcomes. Serve as the primary point of contact between the team and senior management. Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to communicate consolidated learnings, challenges, and opportunities. Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment and coordination. Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and optimize operational efficiency through process improvement and implementation of best practices. Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the team. Develop departmental budgets, ensuring financial goals are met. Monitor expenditures and control costs while maintaining quality standards. Experience Proven experience in drilling and wells engineering/operations, preferably acquired with a Drilling Contractor, Operator and/or a Service Company. Experience with data analytics and tools like Power BI. Proven experience in team leadership and people management. Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and customer awareness. Analytical mindset with the ability to make data‑driven decisions. Problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities. Must have strong PC skills with the ability to adapt and the ability to tailor new programs to the needs of the group. Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new situations. Fluent English; Arabic would be a plus. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in petroleum engineering and/or mechanical engineering OR equivalent education and expertise.
