Job Description Full-time Family Nurse Practitioner – Multi-Specialty (Day-float)Job description The Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) is a licensed, registered nurse who has completed advanced education and training in family medicine. FNP's are responsible for providing primary care to patients of all ages, including preventive care, acute and chronic disease management, and counseling. The FNP in this position will be responsible for providing care to patients in a multi-specialty setting. The FNP will work closely with other providers on the team to provide comprehensive care to patients. Responsibilities of the FNP include: Providing primary care to patients of all ages Performing physical exams and diagnostic tests Prescribing medications and treatments Referral to specialists as needed Counseling patients on health and wellness issues Working with other providers on the team to provide comprehensive care to patients Qualifications for the FNP position include: Master's degree in nursing Board certification in family practice New York State license 2-3 years of experience as an FNP Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team This is a full-time position with benefits.
