We have an exciting opportunity for Outside Machinists in Groton, Connecticutfor with one of our Clients in the Ship Repair Industry. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Must holdactivesecurity clearance Must have6or more years of experience as a marine outside machinist Dry dock experience on shafts, rudders, stabilizers and propellers is preferred. Disassembles ofvarious types of equipment and machinery common to maritime vessels and/or general industry including but not limited to pumps, valves, winches, gear boxes. Assistin determining repairs and required to bring equipment torebuildstatus. Must be able to lift, carry and transport heavy equipment and boxes Experience with valve overhaul and hull inserts Installation of lift check valve Hydrostatic testing Lube and oil flushing Air conditioning hydro Installation of valve and pump packing Install turbine Install boiler tube replacement Fit andbluecheck liners Install steam valves Installation of hydraulic systems Shafting and bearing work HOURS: May work8,10 or 12 hoursshiftsdetermined by the project. #J-18808-Ljbffr
