Job Title: Adult Respiratory Therapist Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: RRT Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years Critical Care Experience License: South Carolina Respiratory Care License required at time of start Certifications: NBRC RRT certification, BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Critical Care experience in adult population Description: Position/Specialty: Adult RRT Will consider CRT. Shift: Will work 3x12hr shifts from 7 PM to 7:30 AM with required holidays. Weekend requirement: Every other weekend. On-call requirement: No. Clinician may float within their scope to meet facility needs, if necessary. Floating to sister facilities: No. First-time travelers accepted: No. Certification and license requirements: NBRC RRT certification, BLS, ACLS. Experience required: RRT adult critical care experience. Clienttion badge requirement: No. Open to accommodating block schedule with prior approval. Radius rule: Yes, 60 miles. Local candidates may be accepted on a case-by-case basis but will be prioritized lower. Pending state license: RRT South Carolina license must be in hand at time of start. All requests for time off must be included at submission time. Approval of time off is based on the unit's needs. Facility allowed to call off one shift per two weeks. Type of facility: Teaching hospital, Magnet status. Total staffed beds: 865. Charting system: Epic. Patient population includes acute care, ICU, and emergency department patients among others. In addition, a variety of critical care conditions will be managed. Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season, all employees may be assigned to emergency response teams. Hurricane season runs from June through November each year. All labs must be completed within 72 hours of signing if within 90 days of the start date. If vacation is planned during the compliance process, all labs must be completed before departure. Modules are non-billable, with an average of 4 hours spent on modules included in non-billable hours. Modules must be completed prior to the start date.
