Job DescriptionHiring for: Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) & Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)\nLocation:Baltimore County, MD\nPosition Type:Full-Time / Part-Time / Contract (Flexible)\nWork Setting:Remote/Hybrid/In-person\n\nPosition Overview\nWe are seeking compassionate, mission-drivenSpeech Language Pathologists (SLPs)andSpeech Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs)to provide high-quality speech and language therapy services to children and adolescents acrossBaltimore City and throughout MD.\nThis role supports bothschool-based speech therapy programs and direct clinical services in an outpatient or community setting, as needed. The ideal candidate is committed toculturally responsive care, understandscommunity-based service delivery, and is comfortable working withinschool environments while also supporting outpatient therapy services.\nSpeech-language professionals in this role will help individuals improvecommunication skills, language development, articulation, social communication, and overall functional communication abilitiesto support academic success and daily life functioning.\n\nRequired Licensure (Maryland)\nApplicants must hold one of the following credentials:\nSpeech Language Pathologist (SLP)\n\n Licensed Speech Language Pathologist in the State of Maryland\n Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from theAmerican Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)preferred\n\nSpeech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)\n\n ActiveMaryland Speech Language Pathology Assistant license\n Must work under the supervision of a licensed Speech Language Pathologist\n\n\nKey Responsibilities\nClinical Services\n\n Conduct speech and language screenings, evaluations, and assessments (SLP)\n Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on client needs\n Provide direct speech and language therapy services to assigned clients\n Address communication disorders including articulation, language delays, fluency, voice, and social communication\n Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation and therapy notes in compliance with Maryland regulations\n\n\nSchool-Based Support\n\n Deliver speech therapy services within school settings\n Support students with speech, language, and communication challenges impacting learning\n Collaborate with teachers, special educators, school psychologists, and multidisciplinary teams\n Participate inIEP meetings, evaluations, and progress reportingwhen appropriate\n Support communication development that enhances academic and social success\n\n\nProgram & Community Collaboration\n\n Coordinate care with families, educators, case managers, and community partners\n Provide caregiver education and communication strategies for home support\n Support program goals aligned with youth development and academic success\n Participate in team meetings and care coordination as needed\n\n\nCompliance & Ethics\n\n Adhere toMaryland licensing standards and speech-language pathology practice regulations\n Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards at all times\n Follow supervision guidelines for SLPA practice\n Ensure all documentation and service delivery meet payer and regulatory requirements\n\n\nQualifications\nRequired\nFor Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)\n\n Master’s degree inSpeech Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders\n ActiveMaryland Speech Language Pathologist license\n Experience working with children and adolescents\n\nFor Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)\n\n Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree inSpeech Language Pathology Assistant program or related field\n ActiveMaryland SLPA license\n Ability to work under the supervision of a licensed SLP\n\nFor Both Roles\n\n Ability to work inschool-based and community settings\n Strong documentation, communication, and organizational skills\n Ability to build rapport with children, families, and school staff\n\n\nPreferred\n\n Experience inschool-based speech therapy services\n Experience working withchildren with developmental delays, autism spectrum disorder, or communication disorders\n Familiarity withIEP processes and educational environments\n Knowledge oftrauma-informed and culturally responsive care\n Experience servingdiverse and underserved communities\n\n\nSchedule & Work Environment\n\n Flexible scheduling based on program and client needs\n Services provided inschools, office-based settings, and community locations\n Hybrid opportunities may be available depending on role and service type\n\n\nCompensation & Benefits (as applicable)\n\n Competitive compensation based onlicensure, certification, and experience\n Clinical supervision provided for SLPAs\n Opportunities for professional development and growth\n Supportive and collaborative work environment\n Opportunities to grow within expanding clinical and school-based programs\n\n\nWhy Join Us?\n\n Make a direct impact in schools and communities\n Be part of a growing organization committed to equitable access to care\n Work within a collaborative, mission-driven clinical team\n Opportunity to support children and families through meaningful communication development\n\nBenefits:\n\n Opportunities for advancement\n\nWork Location: Hybrid remote in Baltimore, MD 21206
