Registered Nurse (RN) – ICU / Multi-Care Unit (Acuity Adaptable)

Contract | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care across a combined-acuity unit encompassing ICU, PCU, and Med-Surg levels of care within a single 10-bed unit
• Manage and titrate drips including sedation, vasopressors, and insulin in accordance with patient acuity and physician orders
• Monitor ICU patients via bedside cardiac monitor; obtain and interpret 12-lead EKGs
• Care for patients presenting with diagnoses such as sepsis, respiratory arrest, COPD, pneumonia, DKA, drug or alcohol withdrawal, and post-operative complications
• Float as needed to adult Med-Surg, Pediatric (adult assignment), and ICU/PCU units at a secondary campus with a minimum of two hours' notice
• Participate in weekend rotation (every other weekend – Fridays and Saturdays for night shift) and holiday rotation

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in the state of Arizona
• Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience; or 1 year of ICU combined with 1 year of PCU/Med-Surg experience in a larger facility with strong clinical skills
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Must successfully pass a dysrhythmia exam with a score of 80% or higher within two attempts prior to contract signing
• Ability to titrate drips and manage patients on ventilators, BiPAP, and CPAP with RT support

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a combined or acuity-adaptable unit environment
• Familiarity with remote telemetry monitoring systems and cardiac strip interpretation
• Experience caring for PCU patients on non-titratable infusions for hemodynamic management
