Work Location: In-Person (Travel required between Stroudsburg, PA; East Stroudsburg, PA; and Tobyhanna, PA)

Compensation: Dependent upon levels of experience and education

Position Summary:

Pocono Services for Families and Children is seeking an individual with knowledge, experience, and skills in providing social and emotional support and behavior intervention approaches appropriate for Infant/Toddler, Preschool, and School-aged children.

This position assists staff in developing and learning new skills related to assisting children in the classroom with behavioral concerns. The Behavioral Intervention Specialist provides direct support to children who are having difficulty in the classroom or who have other special needs.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Education: A bachelor’s degree in psychology or social work.
• Interpersonal Skills: A strong ability to establish a positive relationship with children, staff, and families.
• Coaching: The ability to coach skills to staff congruent with agency philosophy.
• Travel: Ability to travel between our center locations in Stroudsburg, PA; East Stroudsburg, PA; and Tobyhanna, PA.
