Labor & Employment Defense Associate | New York, NY or Los Angeles, CA
Most employment attorneys pick a side early in their career. This role is for the one who chose to represent employers and is ready to do it at the highest level.
Workplace disputes are rising. Employers need attorneys who understand the stakes, move fast, and give advice that holds up in court and in the boardroom. That is the work here.

What you will be doing:
- Representing employers in state and federal courts, administrative agencies, arbitration and mediation
- Conducting workplace investigations and witness interviews
- Drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, position statements and employment agreements
- Managing discovery, depositions and case strategy
- Advising employers daily on workplace policies, compliance and employee relations
- Building client relationships and developing your own book of business over time
What you need to bring:
- JD from an ABA accredited law school
- Active New York State Bar membership in good standing
- Two to four years of employment defense experience at a law firm
- Courtroom experience representing employers in state and federal courts
- Experience before administrative agencies, mediators or arbitrators
This role is available in New York and Los Angeles.
