Brownsville, TN, US 4 days ago Requisition ID: 1081 Salary Range: $80,000.00 To $100,000.00 Annually Position Summary The Assistant Controller supports the Controller in managing all accounting and financial activities of the organization. This role is responsible for assisting with financial reporting, month-end close processes, account reconciliations, payroll support, accounts payable and receivable oversight, inventory accounting, and ERP system administration. The Assistant Controller role will give successful candidate broad exposure to all facets of accounting and finance in a midsize multi-state business. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assist with daily accounting operations including AP, AR, payroll, general ledger, and inventory accounting. Prepare and post journal entries and maintain supporting documentation. Perform monthly account reconciliations and balance sheet analyses. Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes. Assist in preparing financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses. Maintain inventory costing records and support inventory controls. Support payroll administration and regulatory reporting. Assist with tax compliance and audit requests. Support ERP administration and process improvements. Provide backup support for the Controller during absences. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong understanding of GAAP, inventory accounting, Microsoft Excel, ERP systems, communication, organization, and analytical skills. 401(k) with company match, Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance Paid Time Off.
