Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Paramedic role based in Tacoma, WA. The Paramedic provides advanced life support care in the field, including patient assessment, airway management, administration of medications, cardiac monitoring, and other emergency interventions according to established protocols. Daily responsibilities include responding to emergency and non-emergency calls, safely operating and maintaining ambulance equipment, documenting patient care accurately, and communicating effectively with dispatch, receiving facilities, and other medical professionals. The Paramedic also participates in training, quality assurance activities, and equipment checks to ensure readiness and adherence to clinical and safety standards. The role involves working varied shifts, providing professional, calm, and patient-centered care in both routine and high-stress situations. Qualifications Current Washington State Paramedic certification and eligibility to practice at an advanced life support level. Current CPR and ACLS certifications; PALS and PHTLS or equivalent trauma and pediatric credentials preferred. Demonstrated skills in patient assessment, clinical decision-making, medication administration, and use of ALS equipment. Ability to operate emergency vehicles safely, follow traffic and safety regulations, and perform basic vehicle and equipment checks. Strong communication skills for interacting with patients, families, coworkers, dispatch, and hospital staff, including clear documentation of care. Capacity to work effectively in high-pressure environments, prioritize multiple tasks, and remain composed during emergencies. Physical ability to lift, move, and transport patients and equipment, and to work in varied environmental conditions. Commitment to professional conduct, respect for diverse populations, adherence to protocols, and participation in ongoing training and education. High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited paramedic program and prior field experience strongly preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr
