Registered Nurse - Telemetry

Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse in Telemetry provides specialized patient care for individuals requiring continuous cardiac monitoring and assessment. They collaborate with physicians to deliver safe, effective, and evidence-based nursing interventions that meet patient needs.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients regularly to identify clinical needs and determine appropriate care priorities.
• Develop, implement, and document individualized care plans based on patient assessments and medical diagnoses.
• Perform therapeutic nursing interventions, including management of non-titratable IV fluids and cardiac rhythm monitoring.
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and ensure timely response to abnormal findings.
• Advocate for evidence-based practices, supporting innovations in care delivery and clinical standards.
• Document all patient care activities accurately, adhering to facility protocols and clinical guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Hold an ASN from an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
• Possess a valid NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license.
• Have a minimum of 2 years recent telemetry experience, including cardiac rhythm interpretation.
• Certification in BLS from AHA; Telemetry Certification or Competency Exam is REQUIRED.
• Hold NIHSS certification and CEU Contact Stroke within the last 4 hours.
