Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Nurse responsible for delivering safe, patient-centered care within a fast-paced surgical environment. The role involves demonstrating expertise in conduct of perioperative nursing practices, actively collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and providing exemplary patient experience and safety throughout surgical procedures. This position is based in a healthcare facility located in New York, NY.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Day shift, 9.5 hours per shift, minimum of 38 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: NYS Registered Nurse license, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), CNOR (Post-Operative Nurse Certification), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), 2 years operating room experience, scrub and circulating experience, minimum of 2 years RN experience, 1 year travel experience (not required for per diem positions), EPIC experience highly preferred, flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred; associate degree considered with relevant experience or ongoing BSN program.
• Additional Information: The RN will perform charge nurse duties, coordinate supplies and resources, ensure compliance with hospital and regulatory standards, facilitate patient throughput, and contribute to quality improvement and safety initiatives. The role emphasizes professional development, ethical decision-making, and fostering a caring environment for patients and staff.
